I shot this vid last night at an Apache Mescalero tribal dance as part of a 4 day coming of age ceremony for a girl who’s just reached puberty. I could have watched the dance all night, it was hypnotic, beautiful. A fitting conclusion to my week as a mentor at the Sundance lab. Thanks to Bird Runningwater for bringing me into his homeland to witness something so special that so few people get to see.
