Salem - Trapdoor

As a supplement to the New York Times article Seeping Out of Houston, Slowly here is a song from the Michigan band Salem.

As someone who grew up in the South listening to (original) Screw tapes in high school I find this song to be absolutely fascinating. I can see the direct influence of Screw’s music on this band and other artists like them (White Ring for example) yet taken to new and interesting levels.
