i'm 19 i don't know anything really about editing, writing, or directing but, telling a story to people and directoring it has become a passion for me. I just feel like i'm sooo far behind that i'll never be able to catch up with others and fall to the waste side. Almost like I won't reach my own level of success let alone society. I mean what does it take to be a great writer & director? Any advice?

You say you don’t know anything about editing, writing or directing but you have passion, which is good, but passion only gets you started the rest is just hard work and doing the crap no one else wants to do. Spending Friday and Saturday night writing while all your friends are out having fun… The other part of your question: if you’re 19 you’re not really far behind anyone. Buñuel didn’t start directing until he was in his 50’s so you have some time to catch up and live life. Best of luck to you.
